Spring Break in Alabama

Over the recent Spring Break, Steve Torrison, Missionary-in-Residence at Randall, led a team of four students (Logan Kimbley, Ashleigh Dowdy, Nadia Castillo, and Wyatt Knott) on a mission trip to partner with Cultivate Free Will Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama. Cultivate is a brand new Free Will Baptist Church plant in its infant stages, seeking to be an intricate part of God's plan for the city of Athens.

The following review of the trip was written by team member Nadia Castillo:

"Our group helped with painting, installing carpet, electric, and plumbing services, and cleaning of the church building. We also had the opportunity to help clean and organize a local community food pantry. In addition, we served as judges at the town's community chilly festival and went out to local businesses and provided them with free lunch as a form of outreach.

"God truly allowed us to serve and connect with Cultivate Free Will Baptist Church and, above all, to glorify him while doing so. The Franks and Eatons (pastoral staff at Cultivate) were incredibly loving families and their hospitality towards us was extraordinary. In fact, our group loved the Franks and Eatons so much that we are planning a second trip to revisit the newly planted church in Athens this summer!"
