Randall Runs to Remember

This article was written by Kirsten Mitcheltree, Director of the Exercise Science Program here at Randall University.
This past weekend was the 19th annual OKC Run to Remember honoring the lives lost during the April 19, 1995 Murray Federal Building bombing. Each year, Oklahoma City puts on a tremendous race that raises money to support the memorial and museum located downtown, just outside of where the Murray Building once stood.

This year, 13 Randall faculty, staff, and students joined together for the first time to run in the half marathon! We spent 12 weeks training vigorously around academic responsibilities and were grateful to see all our hard work came to fruition. Everyone who footed the starting line, crossed the finish line after completing the full 13.1 miles just a couple hours later!

We are so proud of everyone’s hard work, dedication, and heart put into this event. It was remarkable to see our Randall family come together to support one another and accomplish such a feat. Please join me in congratulating Lee Bauder, Wendy Bauder, Tiffani Burns, Laura Davis, Michelle Garcia, Wyatt Knott, Shalyn Layn, Jordan McEntire, Jacob Mitcheltree, Kirsten Mitcheltree, Karinda Polk, Laura Sheehan, and Jared Spencer! GO SAINTS!
