Randall University has entered the growing disc golf scene. As the sport continues to grow professionally, we are also seeing a huge growth in the sport collegiately. Randall is looking forward to being one of the colleges added to this scene. This effort is being led by Senior Jonathan Hill who will also be coaching the team.
"I'm just looking forward to starting something new on this campus that hasn't been done," says Hill.
The team has already filled a roster and continues to grow as more and more people learn about the sport. This year's team includes Daekwon Cubit, Josh Armstrong, Logan O'Neal, Luke Sherman, Mitch Malveaux, Quinn Ryan, Will Ortega, Zach Lerblance, and Jonathan Hill. The roster will surely continue to grow as the sport continues to grow. About this years roster, Hill said, "We have a very diverse team—nine guys from seven different states! I am thoroughly impressed with the guys who just started the sport and am looking forward to seeing how they continue to improve."
The Saints look forward to starting out this semester and will be playing some high level competition in NCAA Division I. You can follow the team on Facebook and on Instagram @rudiscgolf. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more, feel free to message the team and someone will get back to you.
Many thanks to Jonathan Hill and Casey Sykes for their contributions to this article.
