Ministry and Business Program: Online Studies Specialization
What Randall’s Ministry and Business Program (Online Studies) has to offer:
The Ministry and Business (Online Studies) program provides a general education core with business and ministry studies in order to prepare the student with opportunities for bi-vocational ministry. Courses in Christian Studies provide a biblical and theological foundation for ministry leadership positions. Additionally, the business curriculum—such as courses in accounting, communication, management, and marketing—equip each student for their desired bi-vocational field. Students must be 21 years of age before entering the program. The intent is to allow students to complete the degree program in the context of their adult professional and personal live with courses fully online.
Upon completion of the program, the student will be able to:
- Exhibit proficiency in written and verbal ministry and business communication.
- Recognize issues dealing with ethical or moral situations.
- Incorporate management and administrative skills in dealing with staff and the public.
- Understand the global picture of missions in ministry and business
- Apply core concepts of religion and business.
Opportunities with a Ministry and Business (Online Studies) degree:
Opportunities with a Ministry and Business degree are plentiful. This degree prepares a student for placement in two different areas; therefore, flexibility and diversity are key factors. Those with this degree find jobs in a variety of vocations including:

Program Details
Once again, the Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Business-Online Studies program provides a general education core with the addition of business and ministry studies in order to prepare the student with opportunities for bi-vocational ministry. Beyond the general objectives that were shared above, students will be able to complete specializations (30 hours each) in ministry and business that fulfill the following specialization objectives:
Ministry Specialization:
The student who completes this portion of the program will be able to:
- Demonstrate spiritual maturity, character, and sound judgment in a local church context
- Compose and present sermons and lessons that demonstrate appropriate theological content and sound methods of biblical interpretation
- Apply sound leadership principles in pastoral ministry in a local church context
- Organize and manage effectively the administrative structure of a local church
Business Specialization:
The student who completes this portion of the program will be able to:
- Think, work, and serve in management and marketing
- Utilize people to accomplish desired goals of planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and directing ministry and business
