Rev. Roy Williams age 82, of Pleasant Valley, AR, (Bradley County, Arkansas) went to be with his Lord and savior on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at his home. He was born Friday April 4th, 1941 in Warren, AR a son of the late Rev. Lloyd Williams and Lena Adams Williams. Roy ministered for over 65 years, he served as a pastor at the Corbin Ferry Free Will Baptist Church, Lake Providence, LA, he retired from the Hermitage Public School system with 16 years of service, he was a tomato farmer, a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church and he had a passion for wood working in his cabinet shop building things such as handcrafted roll top desks, cedar hope chests, gun cabinets and just about anything else anyone wanted him to build. He supplied a hand-crafted items at every opportunity he could to Corbin Ferry FWB church auctions and East Side FWBC auctions. Also preceding him in death was his son, Michael Keith Williams, a grandson Kyle White and a brother Cecil Williams.
Surviving is his wife Phillis Doggett Williams, whom he married July 14, 1967 lasting 56 years of marriage at the Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church. A son Rev. Anthony Williams and spouse Laura, Muldrow, OK. A daughter Christy White and spouse Kenny, Warren, AR. A brother Rev. Max Williams and spouse Kathy, Warren, AR. 8 grandchildren Crystal McAllister and spouse Daniel, Ashley Wilmoth and spouse Colton, Samantha Henderson, Tabatha Miles, Heather Henderson, Amanda White, Logan Williams and Ashton Williams. 13 great-grandchildren.
