About William J. Murray
William J. Murray is the son of atheist and Marxist leader Madalyn Murray O’Hair, who is best known for her lawsuit to remove prayer from public schools and for her gruesome murder by a former office manager.
Mr. Murray is the author of eight books. His first book, My Life Without God, was first published in 1982 and details his life in the dysfunctional home of his atheist mother. His most recent book is Utopian Road to Hell, which deals with the destructiveness of utopian collectivist thinkers throughout history, such as Karl Marx and Adolph Hitler.
Currently Mr. Murray is the chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition in
Washington, DC. For more than three decades he has been at the forefront of social issues. During the early 1980’s he served as director of Freedom’s Friends, an organization which reached out to the victims of communism worldwide. In the 1990’s he founded the first commercial Bible publishing
company in what was then the Soviet Union. From his office in Washington, DC, Mr. Murray works for the rights of Christians in America and for persecuted Christians around the world. Under his guidance, the Religious Freedom Coalition manages aid and ministry programs for persecuted Christians in the Middle East and Africa. The two largest programs are Christmas for Refugees and Diapers for Refugees.
Mr. Murray recently returned from Iraq where the Religious Freedom Coalition operates various programs for Christian refugees. He frequently travels to the Middle East and to African nations, and has witnessed firsthand the results of the genocidal attacks against Christians.
In the Christian Leadership Series forum at Randall University, Mr. Murray will be speaking on his personal history as an atheist and then as a Christian believer—and about the life changing events his conversion led to, including his current work in the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Murray’s Books
Each registered participant (for the ticketed event) will receive an autographed copy of one of William J. Murray’s books. Two of his books will also be available for purchase at the public event:
“William J. Murray was just an innocent child when his mother used him as a tool in filing a lawsuit that ultimately led the Supreme Court to decide that compulsory prayer and reading of the Bible in public schools was unconstitutional. In 1980 he would convert to Christianity, and two years later publish a riveting account of the true motivations behind those who conspired to have prayer removed from American public life.”
“In Utopian Road to Hell, William J. Murray, son of atheist apologist Madelyn Murray O Hair, describes the totalitarians throughout history and the current utopians who are determined to engage in social engineering to control the lives of every person on earth.”
