Dear Friends of Randall,

“How many more days do you have?” It is a common question we ask children in late May and they always seem to have a ready answer for the number of school days left. For me, the longest days in my life were those leading up to the end of school. (At least with Christmas I was going to get presents no matter what the weather.) Looking out the classroom window, waiting for summer vacation, the good weather was wasting and the clock seemed to be creeping, but the summer vacation was over as fast as a spring thunder storm.

During the 2009 summer break Randall has a great opportunity to double your gifts to the College. Some of our dear friends have offered to double the dollars we raise. Their offer will match up to $150,000.00 given during the summer months of June and July. This is an opportunity that will require broad participation to maximize this summer match. We need you to respond in the next 30-45 days.

Like the old song, “We have a long ways to go and a short time to get there.”

Unlike the stock market, you cannot lose on this investment. It is the investment in the lives of young people and your gift can be matched dollar for dollar. There has never been a better time to give a gift to Randall.

This is what I need you to do:

1) Complete the enclosed card and send it with your gift.

2) Ask your Church to participate in a timely manner.

3) Encourage other alumni and friends to give a gift during this time.

Because of the limited time frame it is important that we have a broad participation and that we have a number of gifts for hundreds and even thousands of dollars this summer. Your gift is needed and there is no more critical time than now for Randall.

Out of our goal of $150,000, we have reached a total of $124,590.87!  It’s not too late to donate. Gifts can be given through August.
