Stacey Treadway to Begin as Associate Professor of English and Teacher Education
Brent Sykes, Vice President of Academic Affairs, is excited to announce the hiring of Stacey Treadway as Associate Professor of English and Teacher Education beginning this upcoming fall semester. Ms. Treadway is excited to be joining Randall University in the English and Education departments. She has spent much of her career working as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach as well as working as an adjunct at Cameron University, OCCC, and Rose State. She is trained in the Science of Reading and many different methods for Reading. She has taught English, Communication, and Reading classes at both the collegiate level as well as in public education.
Dr. Sykes said, “Ms. Treadway's experience in elementary education and special education will add to our already strong teacher education program. One of Stacey's core values is developing relationships with students, which is on mission for our institutional desire to transform students' lives.” Ms. Treadway holds a Masters of Reading from Cameron University as well as a Master of Education Language Arts (English and Communication) from East Central University. She is an Oklahoma-certified educator in the following areas Reading Specialist, Grammar and Composition, Speech and Drama. Furthermore, her memberships include The Reading League, International Literacy Association, and the Education Association. She is a lifelong learner and always seeking knowledge.
Ms. Treadway is a member of Life Church. One of her brothers is a missionary in Guatemala. She enjoys traveling and having adventures with family and friends. As well as taking an annual fishing trip with her oldest brother. She also enjoys kayaking. She is an avid reader and belongs to a book club.
