New Staff Appointments

Mrs. Shirley Combs

Randall University is very excited to welcome Mrs. Shirley Combs back to campus as the new Receptionist in the Administration Building. Sister Shirley is a native Oklahoman but spent 44 years as a career missionary to Brazil with International Missions of Free Will Baptists. From 1980-1985, she and her husband, Jim, took a leave of absence to move to the Randall University campus and serve as professors, Director of Missions, and Directors of Student Affairs. After 44 years in Brazil, Shirley and Jim moved back to Moore, Oklahoma.

While in Brazil, the Combs' three Brazilian-born children attended Randall University. Since then, three of their Brazilian-born grandchildren have attended the university, and another grandchild currently attends. Since Shirley's father also attended the university when it first started in Tulsa, she proudly claims to be a fourth generation family connected with Randall!

Outside of her dedication to the RU family, Shirley loves to serve in ministries with women, children, and families. She is a speaker and author and loves to spend time with her family and international friends. Each year she is invited to minister in her beloved Brazil.

Executive Vice President, Dr. Mark Braisher, had the following to say about Shirley:

Sister Shirley does not need my introduction—she is a legend in her own right. She has been a hero in the faith of mine since I was a kid. Randall is very fortunate to have her. Everyone who enters the Randall campus will find a very warm and godly welcome. They will also likely find a prayer warrior on their side.

Mrs. Tiffani Burns

The Randall community is also pleased to announce that Mrs. Tiffani Burns will now be serving as Executive Assistant. Tiffani has been a follower of Jesus Christ most of her life. Athletics led her to Randall University where she soon discovered her love for the school. She played for four years with the Women’s Basketball team and received the Heart of a Saint Award in 2017. Following her final year on the court, she became the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. Tiffani graduated with a Masters degree in Public Administration from Randall in May of 2019. She now serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President and still remains the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. She is excited to join the staff at Randall and to continue helping to make a lasting impact on student lives.

Over the past six years, Tiffani has been a student, coach, staff member, and representative of Randall University. She exemplifies everything that makes us proud to be RU. Anyone who interacts with her will find her to be a kind and godly person who reflects the love of Christ.  We are fortunate to have Tiffani in this critical staff position at Randall.
