Mission Trip Postponed

A Message From President Thompson

From the beginning, Randall University has committed to being a Great Commission university. Because of this, we strive to be witnesses in Jerusalem and the uttermost parts of the world by urging our students, faculty, and staff to be involved in mission projects, both at home and abroad.

For several months we have been working with Free Will Baptist International Missions to plan a trip to Ecuador over Spring Break. In connection to the sudden outbreak of the coronavirus across the globe, my administration has decided to temporarily postpone this trip.

Though disappointed, our mission team understands our decision. There has been a lot of time and effort put into this trip, and we are praying even now for God to re-open the door in the near future for these ten servants to go and put their gifts to good use for the Lord.

Let me also commend International Missions for their help in making this determination. They have been more than willing to answer our questions and provide the necessary information to make the wisest decision for the members of our Randall family.

During these disconcerting days, would you join us in prayer?  Pray for our mission team that God would encourage them and use them in a mighty way. Pray for those who are being affected by this frightening virus. And pray the words of Matthew 9:38, “Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth labors into His harvest.”
