About Timothy

Dr. Eaton, a Native American, serves Academic Chancellor of Randall University. He previously served as President of the University from 2004-2019, after serving in various capacities at the University since 1989. In addition, Dr. Eaton is the current Interim President of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). TRACS is the only Christian accrediting association that is authorized by the US Department of Education to accredit institutions in certificates, associate, bachelor, masters, and doctoral degrees.

President Eaton is on the Executive Board for the Council of Presidents with the Oklahoma Independent Colleges and Universities (OICU). Timothy has served as a faculty member, plus various administrative positions in higher education for over 25 years. His expertise in research is reflected in his book, Path to the Professoriate: For High-achieving, First-generation College Students, Saarbrucken, Germany: VDM Verlag Dr. Muller Actiengesellschaft & Co. KG., 2009.

Since 1996, Dr. Eaton has served as the Principal Investigator for the Reliability and Validity Study by TRACS. He has led six successful institutional self-studies for candidacy or accreditation with both State and DOE recognized accrediting agencies. He has served as a visiting team member or Regional Coordinator for over thirty TRACS on-site evaluation team visits. President Eaton led the most recent accreditation success for Randall with the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation (now known as the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability, OEQA) which serves as the approval body for teacher education certification programs in Oklahoma colleges and universities.

A native of Joplin, Missouri, Dr. Eaton has been married to Marthajane since 1973 and they have three daughters: Tara, Leah, and Hope. An ordained minister, Dr. Eaton has spoken or taught in over 35 states and several foreign countries. He serves on the Moore (OK) Chamber of Commerce Board, is a long time Rotarian, and for many years has been on the Executive Committee of the Long-term Area Recovery Committee (LARC) for Central Oklahoma, which focuses on relief and recovery for families affected by tornadoes and other disasters. His hobbies include landscaping, reading, walking, research, and genealogy.
