About Nancy

Nancy grew up on a farm in the Missouri Ozarks where she was saved at the age of nine in a revival at the Pleasant Home FWB Church, south of Mountain Grove, Missouri.  She received an Associate of Arts degree in 1974 from Hillsdale FWB College, now Randall University, and then continued her academic work at The School of the Ozarks, now College of the Ozarks, near Branson, Missouri.  She graduated with a BA in History with a minor in Library Science as well as a Missouri Lifetime Teaching Certificate in 1977. She spent her first year out of college in the Blue Eye Public Schools, Blue Eye, Missouri, doing her student teaching in history and serving as their librarian.

Nancy began her employment with Hillsdale on August 1, 1977 as the librarian, as well as teaching English Composition I.  In the years since, she has taught American History, Girl’s Physical Education, Racquetball, Yearbook Editing, and Fundamentals of English. In the summer of 1978, Nancy enrolled in the Master of Library Science program at the University of Oklahoma, and graduated in 1981.

Over the years, Nancy has served on a multitude of campus committees and has served as Advisor to the EEL/GET Societies for over 30 years.  She has served as an evaluator on over 25 TRACS accreditation teams since 1996. Currently she is a library consultant for a small academic institution nearby.  She is a member of the Association of Christian Librarians.

Nancy attends CrossPointe Church, formerly First Free Will Baptist Church of Norman.
